Meet the Speech-Language Pathologist (and Mom) behind

ELEVATE TODDLER PLAY

HI! I’M Christin.

LET’S make play MEANINGFUL.

Hi! I’m Christin, the mom and speech therapist behind Elevate Toddler Play, a resource dedicated to helping parents support their child’s language development through play.

As a speech therapist, I naturally incorporate what I know about language development into my own parenting, and I’ve seen how intentional play can transform communication skills. But I also understand that for many parents, knowing how to engage in purposeful play that supports language growth can feel overwhelming.

That’s why Elevate Toddler Play exists —to make it simple, accessible, and fun for anyone to turn everyday moments into opportunities for learning and connection.

HEre for you. Here for your littles.

The inspiration behind Elevate Toddler Play, Christin Lorio-Hencke has been passionately serving children for over a decade as a Speech-Language Pathologist. She graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University and is a PROMPT© Certified and a NLA trained clinician. Christin is a military spouse and enjoys finding a new adventure at each duty station with her husband and two children.

The ETP Guides are for anyone who wants to be proactive in increasing their toddler’s language and communication skills.

Playing with our children and creating a series of meaningful interactions doesn’t have to be a chore. Many parents don’t know what to play or what to say and they’re limited on time. As a result, play is pushed to the side and we’re left with a hope they get what they need along the way. Research continues to show that play and language skills are interconnected.

You can’t afford to wait any longer. It’s time to start understanding what vocabulary and concepts to teach your child so they can communicate effectively. As parents, we have the power to unlock their potential.

  • Farm, bubbles, blocks, house, vehicles, ball, dolls/stuffed animals, nesting + stacking, food + kitchen, and musical instruments.

I encourage you to use what you already own! At the same time, I offer a list of open-ended toys I personally use during therapy sessions and highly recommend to parents.

Get ready to learn practical ways you can play with new toys and extend the life of "old" ones!

  • Due to the nature of this digital product as an immediate download, refunds are not offered. If you’re still wondering how our play guides might enhance your child’s language and communication skills, the question isn’t, “Am I going to use everything in this guide?” (Because there is a lot.) The question is: Am I going to use it enough that makes it worth the money? The guide won’t work if you don’t. 🙂
